Xiaomi's Poco is now an unbiased cell phone brand

Pocophone F1 back in 2018. Fans of the cost-efficient flagship phone would feel free to grasp that Poco is now an impartial company.This means, we can in fact start looking forward to a new Poco phone, evidence of which was found not too some time past.Xiaomi shared a media release with Android Authority asserting Poco's new standalone identification. The company says that Poco will now run with its own team and go-to-market strategy."What began as a sub-brand in Poco has grown into its own identity in a short span of time. Poco F1 is a very everyday phone across user groups, and is still a top contender in its category even in 2020. We feel the time is ideal to let POCO operate by itself now," Xiaomi VP and India MD, Manu Jain said in the emailed free up.


Is it a clean break?


Unlike Redmi, which also spun off as an impartial brand in advance this year, it looks like Poco will have no ties with Xiaomi whatsoever. The Redmi brand still falls under Xiaomi's umbrella but an identical doesn't look the case for Poco.We tried to get some rationalization from Xiaomi but it feels like the company is not able to share more details just yet.
